expert Dr. Abdelaty Elmannaee has announced the completion and launch of the Libyan Environmental Healing Map, which highlights some of the country’s most prominent natural healing sites. These include Jaghboub, Jalu Oasis, Ghadames Oasis, Ghat Oasis, Al-Shaafeen Nature Reserve, Al-Hasha Nature Reserve, Bir Ayad, Msallata, Nalut, and Zultan, in addition to several other regions rich in mineral springs, healing clay, and therapeutic hot sands.Libya is considered one of the most promising countries in environmental healing and health tourism, thanks to its diverse natural landscape—ranging from the vast Sahara Desert and its oases with abundant groundwater and sulfurous springs to its dry, pure climate, recognized as one of the best environments for treating respiratory, rheumatic, and skin conditions. The country also offers integrated tourism components that combine therapeutic environments with cultural heritage and rare archaeological sites.Dr. Elmannaee explained that this map is a continuation of a series of environmental healing maps he has developed over the past years for Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Sudan, and Iran, as part of his broader initiative to create the Afro-Asian Atlas of Environmental Healing. The project aims to document natural healing resources across Africa and Asia and promote sustainable investment in the health tourism sector. He added that work is underway to complete the environmental healing maps for other countries as well, so that the Atlas will serve as a comprehensive scientific and tourism reference contributing to economic and health development across the region.
